Meet Carl
Carl is one of our newest planners, joining us after a distinguished career in the Royal Marines. When he’s not helping you achieve your goals, Carl is an avid walker; he recently completed a remarkable 27-mile trek from Salisbury to Marlborough!
What is your role at Butler Toll?
Financial planner.
What are the three things that you love the most about your job?
- Helping people discover and realise what they want
- Every situation is different; no two days are the same
- There is always something new to learn.
What has been your career highlight so far?
Making the successful transition from the Royal Marines to financial planner.
Where is your favourite holiday destination?
My favourite holiday destination is the Greek islands. Great food, great people, and great places to see.
What is your favourite song to play in the car?
‘All Right Now’ by Free.
If you could turn any activity into an Olympic sport, what would you win a gold medal in?
Dedication. I will always go the extra mile to ensure that my clients get the outcomes they deserve.
Meet Lauren
Lauren has been with us at Butler Toll for over three years now, making her successful transition from the client support team to the planning team.
What is your role at Butler Toll?
Financial planner.
What are the three things that you love the most about your job?
- Meeting clients and helping them achieve their life goals
- Demystifying financial jargon for clients
- Working with our team.
What has been your career highlight so far?
Moving from being a paraplanner to a financial planner.
Where is your favourite holiday destination?
Spain.
What is your favourite song to play in the car?
‘Welcome to the Jungle’ by Guns N’ Roses (as long as it’s loud).
If you could turn any activity into an Olympic sport, what would you win a gold medal in?
Shopping.
Meet Alex
With over 18 months of experience at Butler Toll, Alex has already helped many of our clients work towards their long-term goals and secure their financial futures.
What is your role at Butler Toll?
Chartered financial planner.
What are the three things you love the most about your job?
- Getting to know clients and hearing their stories; I love hearing about the different life journeys everyone has been on and also discussing travel adventures
- Making a difference for clients through my advice
- Providing support and certainty to clients during periods of difficulty, either personally or in the markets.
What has been your career highlight so far?
Achieving Chartered Fellow status of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments. Second to that would be winning an annual award for innovation in a previous role, which saw me secure a spot on an all-expenses-paid trip to Nice.
Where is your favourite holiday destination?
San Sebastian, Spain.
What’s your favourite song to play in the car?
I don’t usually listen to music in the car as I tend to listen to audiobooks or podcasts. Though, my favourite album is Original Pirate Material by The Streets.
If you could turn any activity into an Olympic sport, what would you win a gold medal in?
Using every single utensil and pan in the kitchen when cooking fancy meals.
