Meet our newest team member – Sara Mather

As many of you will know, we bid a fond farewell to Lauren Gifford at the start of the New Year as she headed off on her new adventures. Lauren was with Butler Toll for over 4 years building some really strong valuable relationships with her clients but decided the opportunity to move to Wales and start a new more rural life was too good to pass up. She leaves us with our best wishes and will certainly not be a stranger to us in the future.

We have already moved Lauren’s clients to one of our very experienced planners Gaz Ahmed and Gemma McKnight and we are confident that they will continue to build on the very strong relationship that they have with Butler Toll.

Having said farewell to Lauren, we have also welcomed a new team member, Sara Mather.

Sara joins us with a wealth of industry knowledge having worked in financial services now for over 20 years. In that time Sara has provided Planning and Technical Advice to financial planners, worked as a Compliance Manger and been part of the Senior Leadership Team in very successful Financial Planning business in Bristol.

Sara will initially be working alongside Gemma & Gaz, our current planners, providing planning support and bringing additional technical insight including taxation and trust expertise. Sara is also looking to continue her studies with a view to become a Trainee Financial Planner, working alongside Gemma and Gaz will support Sara’s journey to become a highly valued Butler Toll Financial Planner.

What’s your role at Butler Toll?

What are the three things that you love most about your job?

  1. Working with clients and helping them get the most out of their finances
  2. Collaborating with colleagues and bouncing around ideas
  3. The variety and range of different tasks and areas to work on

What has been your career highlight so far?

Working as part of the leadership team in a previous role and really overhauling the way we were operating to drive efficiencies. It was really rewarding to see the improvements and the positivity that this created throughout the team.

Where is your favourite holiday destination?

France has been a family favourite for a while now with the beautiful coastlines

What’s your favourite song to play in the car?

I like to listen to the radio in the car as the mix of music and random chat keeps me entertained

If you could turn any activity into an Olympic sport, what would you win a gold medal in?
